Succulent groundcover, mounding spreading habit. 6-12" by 2'. Moderately fast grower, Gray green leaves. Spring covered with flowers in shades from white to purple. Native in South Africa. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Needs good drainage. May need to be periodically cut back to rejuvenate.

Chinese Fringe Tree

Botanical name:Chionanthus retusus

This small tree will grow 12-25' high x 12-25' wide and has deciduous yellow/green leaves that are yellow in the fall. Insignificant white flowers bloom in summer.

Crape Myrtle

Common name:Crape Myrtle
Botanical name:Lagerstroemia indica

The new leaves of this species are 2" long, bright gren, and tinged with bronze. Its fall color is affected by the weather. While it has a bare outline, its rounded seed capsules add interest. Its delicate flowers bloom in 6-12" long clusters. The colors of its flowers are shades of red, rose, pink, purple, and white. It thrives on heat, and new cultivars have been created that resist mildew.
